Deven Bradford

Chief Executive Officer

Deven is a construction professional with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Georgia Southern University. His career began with an internship at a residential framing contractor, followed by experience at Heidelberg Technology Center, where he conducted concrete testing. Deven has successfully managed large-scale commercial renovation projects and has overseen thousands of new construction projects for Southern Design Companies, leading to his promotion to Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2019 and later to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He holds a Georgia Residential Basic Contractor’s License and is a certified installer of pervious concrete, driving excellence and innovation in all company projects.

Blanchard Benson

COO

Blanchard Benson, founder of Southern Design Landscaping (SDL), started in the industry in 1998 with a degree in Landscape Design and Grounds Management from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. After honing his skills in logistics and operational efficiency for many years with a large landscaping firm he was laid off during the financial crisis and immediately founded SDL in 2008 with just a truck, trailer, and three employees. His customer-centric focus and dedication to quality and exceptional service are credited for the exponential growth of the business. Blanchard is a sought-after consultant for complex site issues and has a background in the United States Navy, reflecting his dedication and leadership in both his professional and personal life.

Karla Burel

Director of Business Development Founder of Southern Design Concrete

Karla is a seasoned professional with over 27 years of experience in the construction industry. A graduate of Gainesville College and State University, she specializes in residential building, erosion control, landscaping, and heavy civil construction projects. In 2016, she founded Southern Design Concrete, quickly establishing a reputation for quality and service. Karla excels in strategic planning, identifying business opportunities, and building high-performance teams making her a valuable asset in driving growth at Southern Design Companies.
