Blanchard Benson

Blanchard Benson, the founder of Southern Design Landscaping (SDL), launched the company in 2008 with a vision to excel in the landscaping industry despite the economic challenges of the financial crisis. Starting with just a truck, trailer, and three dedicated employees, Blanchard’s commitment and expertise quickly set SDL on a path to success.

Blanchard holds a degree in Landscape Design and Grounds Management from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Following graduation, his journey in landscaping began in 1998 where he honed his skills and rose through the ranks to become the Chief Operating Officer of one of the largest landscape companies in Metro Atlanta. Over a seven-year tenure, he expertly managed day-to-day field operations, gaining invaluable experience that eventually laid the foundation for SDL.

As a recognized expert in his field, Blanchard is frequently sought after for his consulting services to address complex site issues caused by various site conditions. His extensive knowledge and problem-solving skills are a testament to his dedication and proficiency.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Blanchard proudly served in the United States Navy, reflecting his strong commitment to discipline and service. His diverse background and leadership continue to drive success and innovation at Southern Design Landscaping.
