About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Associate to develop and implement strategic business development plans aimed at achieving our company growth objectives in the multifamily construction sector. This role requires a proactive individual who is skilled at identifying new business opportunities and building lasting relationships with key decision-makers in the industry.

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth objectives, specifically in the multifamily construction sector

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting, networking, and attending industry events and conferences

  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including developers, architects, contractors, and real estate investors

  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, presentations, and other materials to support business development efforts

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and potential opportunities for expansion

  • Track and report on business development activities, including leads, opportunities, and sales pipeline, using CRM software

  • Stay abreast of industry news, regulations, and best practices to ensure Southern Design Companies remains at the forefront of the multifamily construction market

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the multifamily construction industry preferred

  • Proven track record of successfully identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities

  • Strong understanding of the multifamily construction market, including knowledge of key players, trends, and market dynamics

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels

  • Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
