About the Role

Southern Design Companies is seeking a Residential Concrete Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple job sites within an assigned territory. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

As a Superintendent, you will take full ownership of your projects—from scheduling and subcontractor coordination to billing accuracy and customer satisfaction. You’ll work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and builders while building strong, long-term relationships in the field.

This is a high-impact, fast-paced role that requires strong leadership, organization, and accountability.

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities: 


Project & Field Management
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee multiple residential concrete projects simultaneously

  • Create and maintain accurate project schedules to ensure timely completion

  • Walk and analyze jobs before, during, and after pours to ensure quality and compliance

  • Verify measurements and ensure work aligns with plans, codes, and specifications

  • Manage job scope using project documentation and tracking systems

Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination
  • Manage subcontractor crews to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to company standards

  • Meet with subcontractors, vendors, and builders onsite as needed

  • Coordinate material orders and deliveries to keep projects moving efficiently

Financial & Administrative Oversight
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing in coordination with internal accounting teams

  • Review and verify purchase orders and work orders prior to execution

  • Resolve billing discrepancies with subcontractors

  • Support timely collection of approved work and change orders

Communication & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, builders, inspectors, and vendors

  • Provide consistent updates to stakeholders on project status and timelines

  • Build and maintain strong relationships to support long-term business growth

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in residential construction or concrete operations (preferred)

  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple job sites

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans (training provided if needed)

  • Clear and professional communication skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Basic computer and math skills

  • Valid Driver’s License (required)
