About the Role
The Landscaping Area Manager at Southern Design Landscaping plays a vital role in coordinating field operations, managing team schedules, and maintaining customer relationships. This position requires exceptional communication and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standard of quality. The Landscaping Area Manager will act as the main liaison between superintendents, subcontractor crews, and clients, ensuring a smooth workflow and client satisfaction.
Communicating and directing superintendents and subcontractor crews
Updating subcontractor crew schedules and ordering materials
Organizing job specific paperwork to hand off to superintendents for completion
Meeting with customers to learn of their needs and problem solve when necessary
Reviewing estimates and invoices for accuracy
Effectively communicating with customers and team members
Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
 Required Skills/Abilities:Â
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in production home building preferred
Experience with development landscape installation preferred
General knowledge of grading and drainage, plant material, turf management, irrigation, and retaining walls preferred
